We compiled 5 different smoothie recipes for you. This recipes will fit up your weight loss dietary plans. Every smoothie has its own benefits and you can drink any smoothie for any meal of the day.



Get an instant energy boost from maca, a powder made from a Peruvian root. It’s also a great source of calcium, iron and a plant-based sourse of brain and blood-boosting B-12 (normally found in red meat, fish and dairy) Plus cacao is one of the best sources of antioxidants and serotonin – a natural antidepressant. Powerful stuff.


Blend the almond milk, date syrup and almond butter in a blender. Once it’s mixed, pour into a pan on a low heat to warm up. Ehen it’s warm, stir in the maca and raw cacao. When smooth, remove from the heat, pour into a mug and slurp!

250 ml almond milk
2 tbsp date syrup

1 tsp almond butter

1 tsp maca

1 tsp raw cacao



Love green smoothies? This one’s for you. Spinach is easier to break down when it’s hot meaning the vitamins A and K, iron, manganese and folate go straight where your body needs them. The potassium in the banana and chilli are also great for speedingup a sluggish winter metabolism, hekping you to burn more fat on the go. Hot stuff indeed.


Peel the banana and place it in a blender along with all the other ingredients until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Pour into a saucepan and heat gently simmering rather than boiling. Pour into a mug to instantly spice up your night.

1 banana

125 ml water

125 ml almond milk

Handful spinach

1 tsp honey

½ tsp chilli flakes


Use a mix of blueberries, blackberries and raspberries for a cross between vin chaud and hot Ribena. This smoothie is the perfect comfort drink plus a great way to prevent snacking between meals. Chia seeds are one of the best sources of omega-3, which nix hunger pangs and blast belly fat to boot. What’s not to like?


Put the orange through a juicer and collect the juice. Then place it in a blender along with all the other ingredients and a dash of lemon juice and blend until smooth. Pour the mix into a saucepan and heat gently, then put your feet up.

125 ml water


Beetroot is nature’s wonder cleanser. This super root detoxes the liver and provides your body with a hit of iron, potassium, magnesium and vitamins A and C plus loads of antioxidants. The result? Beetroot removes nasties and gives you plenty of energy at the same time. That’s pretty hard to beet.


Wash and peel the outer layer of the beetroot, then put it through a juicer with the apples and carrot. Pour the juice into a saucepan and warm it gently being careful not to boil it. Serve it in a large mug and sip with a side of smug.

1 large organic beetroot

2 red delicious apple

1 large organic carrot


Like a warm non-alcoholic cider (without the sugar spike or slurringafter effects) the three spices in this smoothie work together to strengthen your digestive health. Cinnamon helps to regulate and stabillise the body’s blood-sugar levels,while nutmeg and ginger soothe your stomach. Your tummy will thank you.


Juice the apples and pears, pour the juice into a pan with the spices and heat gently until warm but not hot (heat kills the vitamins in the fruit )

2 red apples

2 pears

½ tsp nutmeg

½ tsp cinnamon

½ tsp ground ginder
